Controp has launched the new CAT miniature uncooled TI Camera at Aero India 2009! This new product joins Controp's Thermal Imaging Cameras – all of which are known and used in India and worldwide due to their unique continuous zoom lens as well as other unique features. This new CAT camera has already been supplied to several customers as part of airborne programs for security and observation on board SUAVs in the U-STAMP-Z miniature stabilized day/night payload!
Whereas most uncooled thermal imagers have incremental zoom capabilities with two fields of view and magnification levels, Controp's FOX and CAT TI cameras have a continuous zoom feature which provides a smooth transition between fields of view for surveillance, target acquisition and then close-up identification of a target. This feature is most advantageous for the operator in field operations.
The new CAT uncooled miniature thermal camera is in operational use in Israel- with a proven success record, and is being introduced in India and in other parts of Asia, Europe, North America and other regions. The Controp booth in the Israel Pavilion welcomes visitors to operate the unique mini IR camera with a “hands on” approach.
